The Canadian government has allocated more than 51 million Canadian dollars (approximately $39 million) to various humanitarian aid projects in Ukraine.

This was announced by the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the conclusion of the visit to Ukraine by Randy Sarai, Secretary of State for International Development.

“The Secretary announced $51.1 million in funding to help Ukraine address immediate humanitarian needs while supporting long-term recovery and reform,” the statement said.

It is noted that these funds will be used to provide the population with medical care, food, and housing, as well as to build Ukraine’s capacity to deliver inclusive public services and support veterans.

“Canada remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine, not only during the war with Russia but also in the reconstruction ahead. By working together with Ukraine’s leaders, regional partners in Poland, civil society, and the private sector, we are helping to lay the foundation for a resilient, strong, and inclusive Ukraine,” said Secretary of State Saray.
