Ukrainian refugees who are pursuing higher education at institutions in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan will continue to pay domestic tuition rates.
This was announced by the Saskatchewan government.
"Ukrainian students at universities in Saskatchewan will continue to receive a discount on their education until March 31, 2030. This will allow those who arrived under the Canada-Ukraine Emergency Travel Authorization (CUAET) program to continue paying local rather than international tuition rates at educational institutions in the province," the statement said.

The government noted that it will review the feasibility of continuing this program in 2029.
It should be noted that tuition fees for foreign students in Canada are usually several times higher than those for local students.
The CUAET program was announced in early March 2022. It allowed all interested Ukrainians to obtain a work and residence permit in Canada. The acceptance of new applications for this program ended two years ago, but during its operation, about 300,000 Ukrainian asylum seekers arrived in Canada.
