On September 6 at 11:30 a.m., Bowness Park will host a BBQ Networking Party—a warm, delicious, and heartfelt gathering of Ukrainians in Calgary outdoors.
This event is for anyone who wants to spend the day in good company, meet new people, chat in Ukrainian, relax in the fresh air, and enjoy the atmosphere of a real BBQ.
Guests can look forward to the park, fresh air, the aroma of the grill, a great mood, lots of laughter, lively conversation, and people with whom it’s easy to be yourself. This isn’t an official event or a formal gathering, but rather a day for making new acquaintances, having conversations, building new connections, and enjoying a warm, relaxing time with the Ukrainian community.
You can come on your own or with friends. You’re also welcome to bring a guitar, a ball, or something for outdoor activities—any ideas for shared leisure time are welcome.
On the Menu
- shashlik;
- pilaf;
- wraps with cheese, herbs, and tomatoes;
- salad and fresh vegetables;
- drinks: water, Pepsi;
- a small culinary treat for our own;
- the chef’s special.
Participation Fee
The current participation fee is $45.
The price will go up, so it’s best not to delay registration.
Separate terms apply for children:
- Children under 6 years old — free;
- Children ages 6 to 14 — 50% discount;
- Ages 14 and up — full price.
Registration
Registration is required so that the organizers can accurately calculate the amount of food and prepare everything necessary for the guests.
