This is exactly what Train to Christmas is — a warm Ukrainian holiday story that unfolds during a Christmas trip across Canada.
In the carriage of this unusual train, people with different destinies meet by chance: some are running away from their past, some are looking for a new beginning, and some silently carry pain, loss, or unspoken desires. Each has their own secret. But this night on the road becomes a turning point: witty dialogues, light humor, tender romance, and the cozy atmosphere of Christmas force the characters to take a fresh look at themselves, others, and the very concept of home.
“Train to Christmas” is a film about how the holiday can restore faith in people, in goodness, and in the little miracles that we often create ourselves. It is a story about community, support, and warmth, which is especially important for Ukrainians in Canada who celebrate Christmas far from home but with the same values and traditions in their hearts. The event also has a charitable purpose: during the screening, funds will be collected for gifts for an orphanage in Ukraine.
