What is the fare for adults, children, students, and seniors?
In 2025, Calgary Transit fares increased slightly to cover rising operating costs and maintain service quality. Effective January 1, 2025, most fares increased by approximately 10 cents per trip.
Adult fares (18 years and older)

Special fares
- Low Income Transit Passes: There are several categories of passes available for low-income passengers at different prices (ranging from $5.90 to $59.00 depending on income level).
- Weekend Group Day Pass: valid on weekends for groups of up to 5 people (maximum 2 adults), the price has increased from $16 to $17.
- Children 12 and under: ride free.
- Animals: dogs on a leash and other animals in carriers are allowed to ride free.
Payment and usage details
- Tickets are valid for 90 minutes from the time of activation and allow transfers between buses and CTrain.
- Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines at stations, ticket offices, via the My Fare mobile app, or in the form of ticket books.
- Monthly and annual passes provide unlimited travel during the corresponding period.
