AROABORA is a new two-day mountain electronic festival in Banff (Alberta, Canada) that combines music, art installations, and a creative market in the winter-spring atmosphere of the Rocky Mountains.

Format and music

The festival brings together a curated selection of local and international electronic artists. The announced genres are: deep house, funk, disco, melodic techno, UK garage, and groovy bass.

Line-up (list of artists): marked as “Coming soon” on the official website (to be announced later).

What will be on site

  • Immersive art installations and visual environments (the space “comes alive” under the night sky).
  • Market Collective — a market of local artisans/brands (advertised as an open-air collective of makers).
  • Food trucks and bars (GA admission includes access to the main bars and food zones).
  • Afterparties at selected venues in downtown Banff — also “Coming soon” (details will be announced closer to the event).

  • Cost: approximately $70 (starting price).
  • General Admission (GA): entry to the festival grounds, access to food trucks and main bars, opportunity to visit Aroabora Village and art activations.
  • VIP: separate VIP queue (fast-track), heated tented terrace with elevated view of the main stage and mountains, VIP restrooms, indoor VIP lounge with bar, separate VIP passage between bars and terrace + everything from GA.

Age and entry rules

  • 18+
  • Valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry.

How to get there and where to stay

  • The location is central and often accessible on foot from most downtown accommodations.
  • For guests from Calgary and the surrounding area, shuttles/transportation will be announced closer to the event; organizers encourage carpooling and local accommodation for a smaller environmental impact.
  • There are partner accommodation packages (Banff Lodging Co.) as well as Mt. Norquay lift packages in the style of "Ski all day. Dance all night."

Prohibited items

  • Cashless event: vendors accept credit/debit cards, cash is not accepted.
