Опис події
The Ukrainian community in Calgary invites you to a free concert by the Ukrainian Song Ensemble (USE)—a musical evening dedicated to Ukraine’s rich cultural heritage. The program will feature authentic folk songs from various ethnographic regions of the country, performed in both contemporary and traditional styles.
The program will combine various musical styles—from archaic a cappella singing to energetic folk-rock arrangements. The Ukrainian Song Band strives to preserve and promote Ukrainian folklore, blending respect for tradition with a contemporary sound. Each composition reveals the history, culture, and emotions of different generations of Ukrainians.
Guests can look forward to both cheerful and playful folk songs that create a festive atmosphere, as well as profound lyrical compositions that inspire reflection and help one feel the power of the Ukrainian musical tradition. The concert will be a wonderful opportunity to spend an evening with the community, get acquainted with Ukrainian culture, or reconnect with it while far from home.
The event is open to everyone, regardless of nationality. The organizers invite you to come with family and friends, as Ukrainian folk music serves as a bridge between generations and unites people through shared values, memories, and a love of culture.
