Picnic with the Police is a free family event organized by the Calgary Police Service that gives city residents the opportunity to learn more about police work, talk with police officers, and enjoy an active day outdoors.
A packed program for the whole family awaits guests:
- free refreshments;
- music;
- face painting;
- creative workshops;
- sports activities;
- laser relay races.
Children will be able to explore real police cars, meet officers from the Calgary Police Service’s mounted and bicycle units, and watch a demonstration of police drones and modern technologies used to ensure the city’s safety.
The organizers also invite families to participate in the Book Exchange—bring one book in good condition and exchange it for another.
The event is open to everyone and will be a great opportunity to spend time with your family, learn more about the work of the Calgary Police, and chat with community members in a relaxed atmosphere.
