Plot

The events of the film unfold in the near future. Ukrainian space trucker Andriy Melnyk is transporting nuclear waste to Jupiter's uninhabited moon Callisto when suddenly Earth explodes, and he becomes, it seems, the last person in the universe.

In complete silence and solitude, Andriy suddenly receives a signal — it is Catherine, a French woman from a remote space station. Despite all the dangers and distances, he decides to find her, turning his mission into a journey for connection, closeness, and hope.

You Are the Universe is not just a space adventure, but a sensitive story about loneliness, love, and humanity that speaks to the most universal states — joy, sadness, fear, and the desire to be heard. The film was shot at a time when Ukraine is experiencing war, and it serves as a reminder that even in the darkest moments, we vitally need to feel that somewhere out there, there is someone who understands us.

The film was made in Ukrainian (with subtitles) and has already attracted the attention of international festivals and critics as an atmospheric, melancholic, and at the same time humorous cosmic drama about long-distance love and inner strength.
